Full course description

Course Introduction

Thank you for your partnership with The Ohio State University. We are thrilled that you have selected to become a mentor for one of our students. Mentors like you play a significant role in the development of The Ohio State University students during mid-introductory field experiences, which occur early in a student's academic tenure. We define a mid-introductory field experience as a course which fulfills a student's pre-major or early major observation and participation requirement. This online course will help assist you in providing your mentee with the guidance they need to succeed.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, you will be able to identify:

  • your role as a mentor
  • the expectations of your mentee
  • the role of the program
  • where you can find additional support
