Full course description

Course Introduction

Thank you for your partnership with The Ohio State University. We are thrilled that you have selected to become a mentor for one of our students. Mentors play a significant role in the development of The Ohio State University students during their field experiences. This training is an overview of the mid-advanced field experience. We define the mid-advanced field experience as one that occurs right before the student's culminating student teaching experience. This online course will help you provide your mentee with the guidance they need to succeed.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, you will be able to identify:

  • your role as a mentor
  • the expectations of your mentee
  • the role of the program
  • where you can find additional support
